Successful water trials have now been completed for the new model Downeast 28.

The Downeast 28 is a classic designed shaft driven cruiser. Together with a solid fiberglass construction and aesthetic teak, the Downeast 28 is a low maintenance vessel with classic features. Coupled with her planning hull and powered by 170Hp Turbo charged diesel the Downeast 28 has the cruise speed of 16kts and a sprint speed of 22kts. Also with the provision of twin 200 liter fuel tanks giving you the ability to open your horizons for long range coastal cruising.

The boat has solid glass construction with the outer layers of vinylester resin for prevention against blistering and osmosis. Boats can be produced using foam core or epoxy resin if required and the finish out of our molds is excellent. We can supply gelcoat or paint finish in your choice of colors (based upon our color charts).
Engine for this boat is 155hp but a range of brand and power up to 250hp is available. Weight was checked on a new weighbridge and is confirmed at 6262lbs lightship condition.
