General Description

The Swanson 36 has an enviable record amongst Australian sailors as a great pocket cruiser that does an excellent job of offshore passage making but is quite at home racing around the cans or heading south to Hobart on Boxing Day. This particular yacht must be the best presented Swanson 36 ever seen. She has just completed a massive refit that saw everything being checked and then either replaced or upgraded. This was done without thought to expense as the yacht has a family history involving her owners and their cruising past.

She now sports a new Yanmar engine, recent standing rigging, new running rigging, new electronics, complete Awlgrip paint job, epoxy hull coating and fairing, new Quantum sails and new bimini and awnings apart from a host of other improvements too numerous to mention. The whole package works perfectly and was proven when she won her class in the 2008 Phuket Race Week only a couple of weeks after relaunching.

Below she is designed for use at sea with a V-berth forward of the heads. The saloon features a foldable table and excellent sea berth to starboard. The galley has enormous headroom along with a Trailblaza 12V fridge, gas solenoid, loads of storage space and a great oven!

When sailing the flush deck makes moving around a real pleasure and all sail handling is very simple and easy. The new Quantum sails including spinnaker all fit perfectly and will be good for many years to come. This yacht is the complete package with nothing needing to be spent in order for a new owner to cruise or race on one of the prettiest small yachts ever seen.
