General Description

Dulcet Flute is a professionally-maintained, well-equipped, and one-owner 1985 Tartan 34 Shallow Draft Sloop. Regarded by many experienced sailors and sailing magazine editors as one of the best all around racer/cruisers ever built, this popular model is well-suited to safe and comfortable extended cruising or leading the fleet around the race buoys. With a 4'5" shallow draft Scheel Keel, Dulcet Flute is perfect for the shallow waters of the Florida Keys or Bahamas and her moderate, sloop-rigged sailplan is powerful enough to keep you moving on light-air days.

Her gelcoat gleams and her solid, hand-rubbed, teak cabinetry with complementary tan cane inserts or louvers on all cabinet doors are both attractive and functional and the varnished teak & holley cabin sole completes the ambiance of a quality yacht. The Universal 45HP Diesel engine was replaced in 1998 and has approximately 400 orginal hours. She is equipped with a CruiseAir reverse-cycle air conditioner with digital SMX controls, as well as 9 opening window ports, two large opening deck hatches, and two dorade vents; ensuring positive ventilation and comfort in all weather conditions. The salon is spacious with long and deep settees and cabinets above on each side, and a solid teak dining table that folds up vertically against the forward bulkhead when not in use. She sleeps up to 7 in the V-Berth, double quarterberth, and two settee berths, one of which slides open to form a double berth. The well-equipped galley with a SS sink has plenty of storage and includes 12V Adler-Barbour refrigeration and a SS propane stove and oven. The Nav Station has been updated recently with an ICOM DSC/ VHF radio and electronics include a GPS, Autopilot, and Wind/Speed/Direction and Depth Displays. Recent additions include an Electric Toilet and LectraSan system for the dual entry private head with vanity & SS sink plus two hanging lockers and plenty of storage. "Dulcet Flute" is fully equipped for for extended cruising and her inventory includes a well-stocked MOB cannister, all Galley utensils and cookware, complete tool sets, spare hardware, and numerous spare parts to keep you sailing and underway in remote locations.

If you are looking for a quality sailing yacht with an excellent reputation and the performance to match, then this 1985 Tartan 34 Sloop is for you. Call today to schedule a personal inspection.
