General Description

When purchased new the Warrior 40 was presented as a boat for the serious yachtsman that knew how to enjoy himself. At the time Trident Marine were referring to the great interior space for life aboard together with the robustness and quality of the build. Surprising volume not expected in a 40 ft robust cruiser.
This yacht has been maintained with the utmost care and there is nothing out of place or not maintained to a high standard.

The Bill Dixon designed Warrior is highly regarded in cruising circles, with her hull providing a solid, safe and dry ride through the heaviest of seas. Her remarkable ballast ratio is indicative of her bluewater capabilities. Fully fitted out with a working blue water spec, this Warrior 40 has the vast majority of her systems of recent vintage. Whilst the current owners have used the yacht for serious blue water passage making, it should also be pointed out that the Warrior 40 makes an excellent coastal cruising yacht with good maneuverability. This is thanks to her fin keel and substantial rudder and unrivalled maneuvering under power because of her sail drive positioned just forward of the rudder. The cockpit is large and very deep which makes her a very good choice for those with young families. This feeling of security is amplified by the GRP-framed windscreen which combined with the substantial sprayhood and high bow should keep those in the cockpit nice and dry.

There were 3 versions to choose when new and this one has great accommodation forward for the owner . This space is divided with a WC and separate shower to port and the large double berth to starboard . There is also a small work shop fwd of this area. Great hanging space , upholstered chair ,drawers and book shelves are welcome design additions.

There is a large main saloon amidships at the point of max beam. L shaped dinette arrangement seats 8 with central folding teak table and extra settee separating the saloon and galley. Galley is to port side of the saloon with stowage. Navigators cabin aft to port, and a full chart table located at forward end of the cabin with separate seat. Full length 3/4 double berth with opening window, and rear starboard 2 x bunk berths, stowage and opening window.

The cutter rig has 3 principal sails: Furlex roller-furling Yankee - 40sq.m, self-tacking slab reefing staysail - 11.33 sq.m and fully battened mainsail with 2 SLR reefing points and a third two-line reefing point - 28.33 sq. m. Main and staysail have blue Sumbrella covers. The Yankee has matching sacrificial strip. Lightweight Gennaker with Spectra luff and integral self-furling � approx 50sq.m,
