Venture is a wonderful 1978 36FT C and C Classic sailboat. Designed and built by the Canadian design team of Cuthbert and Cassian. She is fast, as well as, elegant! She has been refit from one end to the other and has many new luxury items aboard, (i.e. flat screen color TV, all new upholstery, new interior paint, new carpet, new head, convection microwave oven, etc.)

WORDS FROM THE CAPTIAN:

As the owner of Venture and a licensed Captain I just wanted to let you know what I think about Venture. I have owned her since February 2002. I bought her in Annapolis, MD. She had been sitting on the hard for about a year at that point. She had been raced and did well from what I understand. The owner at that time bought her from the racer. The owner had put on the GPS and added new cockpit cushions. The owner was not an avid sailor and therefore did not use her very much. We bought her on the hard without a sea trial. We immediately had her painted with Aristo Blue Awlgrip. We put in a new head system. Repaired her plumbing in many areas. We had a marine electrician strip all of the wiring and replace all of the wiring throughout to bring her up to USCG specs. We added an extra battery in the house bank and separated the engine battery for starting purposes only. We added an additional VHF radio in the cockpit with a cockpit antenna. There was already an antenna on the mast which we replaced with a new one. We took out the alcohol stove and oven and replaced it with a new microwave convection oven and two burner electric cooktop. We also put in a nice size pantry where the oven used to go. We also put in a large cabinet under the V-berth to house shoes/bedding, etc. Both of those cabinets are teak and are removable. Venture was moved from Annapolis to Beaufort, NC in 2003. We sailed her regularly in MD as well as, NC. Venture is very balanced and once you set the sails you can relax. We are looking for a new owner who will care for her as much as we did and who can appreciate what a wonderful little ship she is. 5% will be payed to any broker who brings a buyer
