General Description

The Luhrs 290 Open is a popular inboard express with great styling, proven fish-ability, and versatile cabin accommodations. Built on a wide 11'6" beam the 290 Open has the space and stability you want in an open fisherman. The cockpit is large enough for several fishermen and is equipped with three fish boxes, transom storage box, pedestal with rocket launchers, Penn downriggers, Lee outriggers, and tuna door. The centerline helm includes hardtop with full enclosure and seating for four. The lower helm electronics feature Garmin chart plotter, Simrad auto pilot, Raymarine 24-mile radar, Raytheon GPS, Raytheon VHF radio, and Raymarine fish finder. The bridge is equipped with Furuno GPS, Raytheon VHF radio, bench seat, and full sun shade.

Below are all the comforts of home, three berths, head compartment with sink and shower, and full galley. The galley is compact but complete with two-burner electric stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, and countertop with stainless steel sink. The layout is unique with head compartment forward with Jabsco head, vanity with sink, and shower. The galley is aft. The convertible berths are mid-ship on either side of salon. Portside are over/under bunks and starboard is a single berth. When fishing is over and it's time to relax there is a TV and AM/FM/CD stereo. The cabin comfort is maintained by a MarineAir HAC unit and off-shore power provided by a Kohler 6.5kW generator.
