General Description

The Silverton 453 Motor Yacht is designed for spacious accommodations and has raised the bar for space and comfort in the mid-40 foot yacht class. Her cavernous interior boasts a huge full-beam salon, full galley with dinette, and three spacious staterooms. On deck she has a large flybridge and well-equipped aft deck for entertaining.

The bridge features a bimini top with full canvas and Eisenglass enclosure. The helm station is forward center with three swivel helm chairs. The helm is equipped with a full complement of Raymarine electronic including chart plotter, 24-mile radar, auto pilot, depth finder, and VHF radio. There's also an Echopilot forward-looking sonar. Aft of the helm is a bridge lounge with pedestal table. Starboard stairs take you below to the aft deck. This is a place to entertain and relax on the water. The aft deck has a hard top and full enclosure and is equipped with a wet bar and ice maker to insure your guests are refreshed. A molded staircase leads below to the swim platform and wing door give access to the side decks and forward to the bow. It's from the aft deck that you can go below to the salon.

The salon is by far the most spacious in this class. As you come below there is a large L-shaped settee to you right. It has two built-in recliners and wood cocktail table. Across the salon is the entertainment center with television and audio equipment. Along side the center is an upholstered chair. Plush carpet, area rugs, and cherry paneling compliment the leather upholstery. Forward in the salon is the breakfast bar and up & forward is the full galley with wrap-around dinette. The galley is equipped for entertaining with Force 10 electric range with oven, GE microwave oven, Sub-Zero refrigerator and freezer, B&D coffee maker, GE trash compactor, Corian countertops, cherry cabinets, and built-in wine rack. You won't be roughing it on the high seas.

There are three staterooms. A companionway port side leads from the salon forward to the guest staterooms. The VIP stateroom has double-berth and three hanging lockers. The forward guest stateroom has twin berths and hanging locker. The laundry is port side off the companionway. The guest head with shower is starboard between the staterooms. The master aft cabin features a double-berth, two large hanging lockers, and ensuite head compartment with shower/tub.

Kapalua is powered by twin 450-hp Cummins diesel engines with low hours. They provide a cruising speed of 16 knots and a top speed of around 23 knots. For comfort and convenience there are four MarineAir reverse cycle HAC units, a Walber washer/dryer combo, and a Kohler generator.
