General Description

This Beneteau 423 is one of 40 Tommy Bahama Limited Editions built. Most people find Beneteau sailboats to be very special. This one adds the Tommy Bahama flair that has made the name so appealing. The 423 is a two-stateroom sloop that was cruising boat of the year in 2004.

Beneteau interiors are always tasteful and luxurious and this boat is no exception. Tommy Bahama has added a bit of escapism and whimsy that is intended to make every cruise seem like a getaway to the islands. Accommodations begin forward with the master stateroom with centerline queen berth, lots of storage, and ensuite head. The salon is large and open. Forward we have a settee to port across from the u-shaped dinette with varnished Mahoney table that seats six. Aft is the galley with solid surface countertops, lots of storage, deep stainless steel sinks, microwave, stove with oven, and refrigerator/freezer. Port side opposite the galley is the navigation station with instrument panel. Aft we have the guest stateroom with double berth and ample storage. The aft head compartment has private door from the guest stateroom and salon access. For a family cruise the 423 will sleep two in each stateroom, two in the convertible dinette, and a single on the settee. Two CruiseAir AC units keep the interior comfortable. Entertainment is provided an LCD TV with DVD and a CD sound system with speakers in the salon and the cockpit.

On deck we have a large bimini covered cockpit that can be fully enclosed or open depending upon conditions. There is a centerline helm aft with cushioned seating on either side. An integrated swim/dive platform with ladder is easily accessible. Tommy Bahama is featured in the cockpit cushions, inlaid cockpit table, and bamboo colored hull.

Auxiliary power is provided by a 55 hp Volvo with only 152 hours. A Lewmar bow thruster aids docking. A complete complement of electronics includes Raymarine: ST60 Depth & Speed, ST6001 Autopilot, ST60 Wind Speed, and C80 Color Chartplotter. There's also an Icom VHF, Standard VHF, and Plastimo Compass.
