General Description

This boat is all about the fish, and after the fight, her comfortable cruising amenities make it easy to kick back, and relax. The Luhrs 30 Open is one of the very few inboard-powered fishing boats of her size on the market (most fishing boats in this size category are outboard-powered for reasons having to do with their higher speeds). This is truly a good-looking express, designed for serious anglers. The 30 Open rides on a beamy, deep-V hull, whose shallow prop pockets give her a slim, two-foot, six-inch draft. Her raised bridge deck offers excellent seating, great helm visibility, and the cockpit is large enough to accommodate four-anglers without difficulty. There are two fish boxes in the cockpit, one in the sole, and the other in the transom. A complete bait-prep center is forward, a cooler is to port, and a 45-gallon live well is starboard. Below, the cabin is highlighted with a cherry-and-ash sole, has 6' 3" headroom, quality hardware, and Corian counter tops. The forward settees convert to four single-berths, and the head is very large. Her hard top, anchor windlass, cockpit wash-downs, transom door, and electronics box are standard equipment, but this boat has the optional, 315-HP Yanmar diesel engines which will cruise her in the mid 20's, and reach a top speed of around 30-knots.
