General Description

Material Girls is nothing to be taken lightly. She is a true cruising vessel,
one of the best Hatteras ever built. The salon is entered from the stern and immediatley one notices that it looks brand new. The salon was completley done over in 1998 with new fabrics, furnishings and wall coverings. The beige interior includes an L shaped leather setee with accent pillows and storage underneath. There is a barrel chair and coffee table which make an intimate seating area. There is a TV with VCR player, stereo with CD player and an internet hookup. On the same level as the setee area on the port side is a booth style dinette with a teak table. To the starboard side, also on the same level, is a large U shaped galley. The galley boasts a beautiful parquet wood floor, avonite counter tops, a full size refrigerator, a dishwasher, a disposal, a convection/microwave oven, and a four burner cook top. This spacious Hatteras has room for privacy with three staterooms and heads. The master is queen berthed with an upolstered headboard, perfect for sitting up to read or to watch the TV. There is storage below the berth. There are plenting of drawers in the master stateroom to stow clothing and personal items and there is a full height hanging locker. The private head has a seperate stall shower, avonite counter tops and generous storage cabinets. The vip stateroom has large upper and lower berths with reading lights and plenty of storage. The vip head has a private stall shower, avonite counter tops and storage cabinets. The guest stateroom has upper and lower berths, a hanging locker, drawers for storage and a washer and dryer. The guest head has a stall shower, avonite counter tops and storage cabinets. The cockpit has a transom door, custom chairs, fresh and saltwater washdowns, and a live well. There is also a sink and bait prep area with storage drawers, a freezer and a flush deck removable fish box. The large bridge has full enclosures, custom wood helm chairs, a lighted fiberglass hardtop and two large bench seats with rod storage underneath. There ia a forward table, custom windshield, and stainless steel wheel. The electronics include a seventy two mile Furuno 7112 Radar, Northstar 800X Loran, Garmin 220 GPS Chartplotter, Robertson 300X autopilot, ICOM 25W VHF radio, Datamarine depth sounder, compass, two antennas, hailer, horn and stereo. There is a shore telephone, four zone climate control, and bow thrusters which make docking easy. The walk in engine room is entered from the stern. There is a 15kw Onan generator, four air conditioning units with reverse cycle heat, fuel priming pumps, oil change systems for the generator and mains, lights over each engine, hydraulic steering, CATV inlet and telephone. This Hatteras is powered by twin 870HP Detroit Turbo Diesels, model 12V71T. The engines have only 1000hrs. Cruising speed is 22ks with a maximum speed of 28ks. She can cruise a long way with 380 gallons of water and a tankage of 1285 gallons. Material Girls is in excellent codition. She has never been fished and is clean from top to bottom.
