General Description

The 65 Hatteras Convertible is the most popular sportfish boat her size ever built. Her production ran from 1987 to 1999 and boasted a 183 square foot cockpit, a 5'4" draft which enables her to access just about any remote location and a standard three stateroom, three head layout with galley up and an extremely spacious salon. Topside you find a fully enclosed fly bridge with all the amenities including air conditioning, ice maker refrigerator, and a full array of recently updated electronics which also includes Bow Thruster and TracVision4.

The present owner is the second owner of this vessel and has recently had the engines completely rebuilt with less than 50 hours since Major Overhaul which was performed by a reputable local company (all receipts available). There has been a Brand new Northern Lights Generator with 0 hours added to the list of equipment, and the original Onan Generator has just been rebuilt with 0 hours, all the a/c units have also been rebuilt. There is a new Umt Remote Hydraulic Davit located on the bow and a new Rendova hardbottom inflatable tender with 50hp 4 stroke Yamaha outboard, there is also a small glass bottom boat mounted on the bow, and an electric canopy that retracts over the entire cockpit when needed. The bottom of the vessel was painted less than 2 months ago, props have also been treated with prop speed, bow thruster was installed in 2005 with two control stations, one in the pilot house and the other on the aft bridge control panel. Refrigerator, stove, oven, compactor, dishwasher, all replaced in 2006 with top of the line Kitchen Aid products, new galley floor in 2006. All of the heads have been rebuilt as well, along with the water maker. The list goes on and on and all receipts are on file, more details to follow but let me end by saying that there isn't much that hasn't been either replaced or rebuilt on this vessel, it was used more for cruising and diving than fishing. The original outriggers and fighting chair are in storage at the moment and in great condition, more than $300k has been spent on this vessel in the last year and a half.
