General Description

5/10/04: $8K price reduction shows seller's motivation! This fast, strong, and agile sailing yacht is the perfect Bahamas cruiser. Designed by Jeanneau Yachts and built by O'Day, her hull design and deck layout are unmistakably of a European heritage. The powerful, low wetted surface hull provides a long water-line and wide beam, making the O'Day 39 a very large boat on deck, in the cock pit and below. This design makes this boat a perfect extended cruiser as well as a roomy and comfortable live-aboard.

Interior
The 39 O'Day is a family boat or a cruiser for three or four couples. Three separate staterooms with double berths provide privacy for all guests onboard. There are two guest cabins aft, one to port and one to starboard. The master's stateroom is forward and consists of a very large V-berth with plenty of storage. The ensuite master head is equipped with an electric head, a holding tank, a vanity, and a separate shower stall with a teak sole grating. Opposite of the master head is a bureau with drawers and a large hanging locker. The boat has a second head aft to starboard which also incorporates a hot & cold shower, marine head, sink and storage locker.
The salon is mid-ship with a settee to starboard, and a U-shaped dinette to port complete with a folding centerline table for more space when not needed. The dinette table easily serves a party of six. There is plenty of additional guest seating both port and starboard in the salon.
The galley is well suited for while at anchor or while at sea, with its double stainless steel sinks, a hot and cold pressure water system, a convenient top loading icebox and gimbaled two burner propane stove which also includes an oven.
The navigator's station is to starboard and has a lift-top chart table with roomy chart storage and comfortable seating. Space for the electronics is very ample and is located on the starboard bulkhead.
Four fire extinguishers, an automatic fire system in the engine room, an EPIRB, and a life raft stored below the cockpit floor, safely complete this cruising yacht.
