General Description

This custom built diesel pilothouse sport fisher has the speed, range and economy to compete with any fishing machine it its class. The 2001 Radon 26 hull was shipped in early 2002 to Western Australia for outfitting with state of the art materials and the finest mechanical and electronic systems. The custom pilothouse was designed and fabricated by Aussie craftsman under the constant supervision of a world-traveled 100-ton commercial fishing captain. All systems carry US waranty and the vessel's commissioning was completed during sea trials in San Diego, Ca. where the G-Day! is currently berthed. Electronics include Furuno Navnet 24 mile radar, GPS/chartplotter, and High performance sounder with both 7" and 10" color displays. The Course Master autopilot interfaces with the Furuno Charplotter for ease of navigation and Bennet trim tabs allow precise control of trim and load management at all speeds. A Floscan 9000 fuel management system gives a continuous readout of nautical mpg or gals per hour while providing feedback to maximize fuel economy underway. Current sea trials at 100 hours on the Yanmar Mercruiser powertrain have yielded fuel economy averaging 3 gallons per hour giving the G-Day! a potential range of 800 nauticle miles with 10% reserve. Stainless deck hardware and rocket launcher compliment the epoxy painted custom aluminum radar arch while tinted limo-style wrap around windows give the pilothouse a modern yet aggressive look. The v-berth accomodates 3 passengers while the on-deck head allows easy access while fishing the 90 square foot flush-deck cockpit. Massive fish hold and below deck storage make this vessel capable of long range multi-day excursions with the proven safety and seakeeping ability of the Don Radon-built hull.
