General Description

The Morgan Out Island is a classic design from a builder with a tradition for building rugged, go anywhere sailboats with a large volume of living space. The salon is entered down several steps from forward in the aft cockpit. Immediately to port is an U-shaped galley that features a two-burner alcohol stove w/oven, icebox, SS sinks w/pressurized hot & cold water and plenty of counter, drawer and cupboard space for storing food and dishes. Adjacent to port is the nav station. Aft of the nav station is a quarter berth. Forward to port is a straight settee. Adjacent to starboard is an L-shaped dinette with a table. The large 6'5" V-berth is forward and has a hanging locker and plenty of drawer storage. The head compartment is just aft to port and has a SS sink, mirror, marine head w/holding tank and a shower. There are cushions for the large cockpit along with a blue binnacle and sail covers. She has an awning for in port shade and a dodger that is not currently in place. Sail area is approximately 525 sq. ft with a roller furling 120 Genoa, main sail and Lazy-Jack system. Electronics include an Apelco Loran DXL, Standard Horizon depth & knot meter (2004), Standard Horizon VHF (2003), JVC stereo (2003) and a CB radio. Power is provided by a 55-hp Perkins with only 945 hours. The boat was hauled and the bottom painted in 2004 at which time there were no blisters. This beautifully maintained vessel is ready for a new home. This is a “must see" for the couple looking for a liveaboard or long-range cruiser.
