General Description

This is a very good-looking express cruiser design; the Monterey 302 is an affordably priced family cruiser with very attractive lines, and a practical accommodation plan. Like all current Monterey sport boats, she rides on a solid fiberglass, deep-V hull with good beam, and reverse chine's to reduce spray. The 302's mid-cabin interior differs from most others in her class in one important respect: Instead of being open to the saloon with just a curtain for privacy, the 302's aft stateroom is fully enclosed with a solid bulkhead, and cabin door. Topside, there's a double-wide companion seat with a reversible back-rest at the helm, a wet bar, a removable transom bench seat, and the optional extended swim platform with a ladder. The bow area of the boat is accessed from a walk-through windshield. Some of her additional features include a reverse arch, camper canvas, a transom storage locker, foredeck sun pad, reverse cycle heat/air conditioning (10,000-BTU), good electronics, and a removable cockpit table. This boat is a good performer with her twin, Volvo 5.0-Liter, 250-hp stern-drive engines, as she'll deliver a cruising speed of 25-knots, and reach a top speed of just under 40-knots. Accommodations
