The bermudian rig is notonly attractive, but is an important factor in the Devon Yawl USA's design. It allow a large sail area with a low sail plan; She won't only sit into the wind with the mizzen up alone, the singlehanded sailor caught in a blow can harden the mizzen drop the main and sail under jib and jigger.
