General Description

You will never be short of space and living area aboard this Privilege 48.

The blood line of this catamaran is held in high esteem by the catamaran community. The design was developed by Marc Lombard who specializes in racing designs and has a reputation to produce strong vessels as a result of his expertise in structural calculations. The result is a cruising cat with performance.

The Privilege comes in many layout configurations and this model is the 5 cabin version. The fifth cabin located amid ships is designed for crew or guests. Each double berth cabin has its own ensuite and vanity with ample storage and hanging space. The galley is down and located in the port hull with the refrigeration located cleverly up in the saloon area for ease of access. A separate freezer is also located at this level that will chill to -20 degrees Celsius. There is a large number of berths on this catamaran, the saloon and cockpit seating is relative to the amount of berths so that cruising even with multiple guests can be a pleasurable and unrestrictive experience.

At almost fifty feet she is easily sailed single handed with 2 auto pilots ,lazy jacks and furling genoa . The quality of deck hardware is excellent, Harken blocks and Lewmar self tailing winches. The sails are in great condition, a fully battened main with a Harken back car system add to the performance cruising ability.

The machinery includes a large 12 KVA genset and twin 63 HP diesel shaft drives. This catamaran has undergone an extensive refit that has just been completed. The extent of refit is a full paint of the structure, complete revarnish of the interior wood work, mechanical maintenance and overhaul. There are many more terrific features of this cat that have not been mentioned.

The presentation of this vessel is excellent and will see the discerning private buyer or charter operator purchase a great valued large cruising cat.
