The affordably priced Wellcraft 3000 Martinique
is a contemporary family cruiser with
comfortable cabin accomodations and a good
turn of speed. She's built on a solid fiberglass
modified-V hull, and her generous 10'6" beam
results in a spacious interior. Like most express
cruisers in this size range, the Martinique has a
mid-cabin floorplan which will accomodate four
adults and two kids. Privacy curtains separate
the sleeping areas from the main salon, and
galley storage is increased by locating the
refrigerator under the forward dinette seat. In
the cockpit, the driver's side of the double-wide
helm flips up to form a bolster for standup
driving. Molded steps and a walk-thru
windshield provide access to the bow. The
cockpit also comes with a portside sink/
refrigerator while a removable table converts the
U-shaped lounge into a dinette. An electrically
operated hatch in the sole lifts up to reveal a
spacious engine compartment. A good
performer with twin Mercruiser 250-hp I/O's, the
3000 Martinique will cruise at 25 knots and hit a
top speed in excess of 40 knots.
