General Description

Every now and then a yacht gets listed that is perfectly presented, extraordinarily maintained, has been upgraded extensively at great expense and is absolutely ready for her next owner to enjoy cruising. This Tayana 55 centre cock pit is one such yacht.
The Tayana 55 needs no introduction to anyone who has spent time thinking about larger cruising boats. With a history second to none and a reputation built on years of well crafted yachts, they are designed and built to take cruising couples with friends and family wherever they want to voyage.

This center cockpit version has the usual huge aft cabin with en suite. A great longitudinal galley with excellent refrigeration system and many homely features designed for modern comfortable cruising is to starboard. The saloon is a great space with excellent head room , volume and accented by new upholstery and linings. Seating is for eight around a well sized dining inlaid teak table all within Air conditioned comfort. A well equipped navigation area is to starboard with the latest electronics. Two lounge chairs to starboard add a very comfortable touch. The layout forward is the best we have seen on a Tayana 55 with pilot berth / storage to starboard and double cabin to port. The forward head also gives access to the crew quarters in the bow, presently being used for storage. Decks are all glued teak no screws to give leaking problems at a later date. The rigging is in excellent condition and regularly inspected. The Pro furl in boom furling system is one of the many upgrades on this yacht. Sheets are controlled by electric winches. The engine is in excellent condition and the generator is new. The yachts systems are in great well kept condition. This yacht overall is a fine vessel.
