General Description

The Wellcraft 290 Coastal is an appealing offshore fisherman that strikes the balance between hard-core fisherman and family cruiser. Sometimes the hardest sell when boat shopping is convincing the spouse that "it's not just a fishing boat". That is not a problem with the 290 Coastal; the cabin layout is family friendly.

For the fisherman the well-planned cockpit comes with two in-deck fish boxes, fold-down transom seat, coaming bolsters, and transom door. Helm seating module includes a 42-gallon livewell and a prep station pressurized water and cutting board.

The striking cabin begins with the forward convertible dinette. The settee backrests swing up to form pilot berths. Along the port side is a full galley with microwave, stovetop, molded sink, and under-counter refrigerator. Opposite the galley is an enclosed head with shower. A six-gallon water heater adds comfort and convenience. Under the helm is the mid-berth that sleeps two or stores a bunch.
