General Description

The Dixon 57 is a vessel of the highest quality. This yacht has been finished in conjunction with the current owner on site and paying meticulous attention to the finished product.
The design by Bill Dixon was derived by the instruction to provide plans for a large steel vessel easily handled by two for circumnavigations in luxury. We believe that the design has been achieved and the build executed well.

The interior timber is American cherry and the joinery is fantastic. Two double berths are located in both the forward and aft cabins. The aft cabin adjoins an ensuite and separate shower stall. The forward cabin shares the second head and shower with the middle port cabin that contains two single berths and an integrated office. The saloon is stunning with high gloss American cherry and a large dining table. The vast longitudinal galley, independent refrigeration with well contrasted solid beige counters adds to the elegance of this fully equipped area. The nav station is spacious and in a comfortable mid ships position close to the companionway

On the full teak deck is the sunbrella enclosed centre cockpit surrounded by electric winches for non strenuous operation. The auto pilot and the bow thruster control is located on the steering pedestal. The walk off transom and divits for the tender make boarding and tender launch a breeze.The sail plan consists of electric in mast furling, furling cutter and furling genoa. An MPS has also been added for easy of use when a spinnaker is required.
