General Description

This Gulfstar 44 is an original owner yacht, purchased new in June of 1986. The Gulfstar 44 Motor Yacht differs from the 44 Wide Body in that she has side decks surrounding the fully-enclosed afterdeck. This fully-enclosed, and paneled afterdeck serves as the main saloon, and entertainment area. In this unique layout, the HUGE galley, and dinette are located on the lower level. Both staterooms have centerline double berths, and a separate shower-stall is provided in each head. In an innovative departure from the conventional, the aft stateroom has the berth fitted against the forward bulkhead. Thus arranged, the Gulfstar 44 has one of the roomiest interior layouts available in a boat this size. Her washer/dryer is located next to the companionway steps, where a bulkhead door leads into the amazing stand-up engine room. "Yolo" is powered by twin, 320-hp Caterpillar diesel engines with only 1548-original hours (starboard engine has on 10-hours since rebuild), which will cruise this yacht at 17-knots, and reach a top speed of 20-knots. "Yolo" has served her current owner very well since new, and is very well-loved by her family. Accommodations

This double cabin motor yacht is boarded from aft, or either side, entering into the enclosed aft deck saloon. This is a HUGE, air-conditioned area that has double-sliding louvered teak doors to the aft line-handling deck, which is perfect for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. Access to the flybridge is through a door located on the starboard side. Moving forward, and down three-steps into the full-size galley, and dining area. Down two more steps forward, places one in the guest stateroom, which accesses the walk-in engine room. Moving aft from the galley/saloon, and down three-steps is the enormous master stateroom, which boasts an ensuite VacuFlush head, walk-around queen berth, built-in settee, and lots of drawer, and storage areas.

The saloon/galley-up area features large windows that allow plenty of light to enter the vessel, and gives this area a bright - open feeling, with lots of room to entertain family, and guests.

Master Stateroom

The master stateroom is aft, and down a curved stairway to starboard. In this stateroom one will find a walk-around queen berth positioned on a forward, partially mirrored bulkhead. This configuration is very unusual, as it gives a lot of space in the master. There is a built-in triple dresser to starboard, an L-shaped settee in the aft starboard corner, a very large his, and hers hanging locker arrangement to port, and farthest aft to port is a very large, private ensuite head with a sink, mirror, vanity, and separate shower/tub area.
