Interior

The varnished teak interior utilizes a clever two stateroom layout which is open and airy, featuring a galley up arrangement with excellent storage and accommodations. Master is forward featuring a queen centerline berth with storage below, with additional storage both port and starboard in cabinets and hanging lockers. The galley equipment is complete and consists of a Princess 3 burner stove with cutting board top/back-splash shield, a Panasonic Dimension 4 micro/convection oven, a sink with hot/cold running water, an icemaker, a 12V/110V frig/freezer, a second 110V refrigerator, and plenty of counter and storage space for extended cruising. The salon features a large L-shaped sofa to port and aft, while to starboard you'll find full length cabinetry housing the icemaker, second refrigerator, the control panel, and many storage drawers as well as a handy countertop area. Also to starboard is a vertically mounted horizontal rack for 5 rods in gold anodized holders. An additional 6 gold anodized overhead rod storage holders are also included. There is a teak entertainment center forward to starboard which houses a TV and a AM/FM/CD stereo system, while to port the teak cabinetry houses the microwave and has additional storage.
The second stateroom features generous over and under berths, teak drawers, a hanging locker, and below berth storage. The head compartment features an electric head, a mirrored vanity, a 110V outlet, above as well as below counter storage, a hot/cold water sink and a hot/cold shower with a separate and roomy shower stall that also includes a seat for a safer shower while underway.

Exterior

With a huge cockpit, transom door, transom fishbox/livewell, in-floor lift-out fishboxes, a lightweight portable fighting chair, flybridge release black outriggers with double gold spreaders and center rigger, spreader lighting, padded cockpit coaming bolsters, 6 gunwale & transom mounted rod holders, this boat will fish with the best of them. Yet if cruising is your pleasure, the roomy cockpit also will accommodate a fair sized table with chairs for your lounging pleasure. The cockpit also features a hot/cold shower/fresh water washdown as well as a saltwater washdown as well.
Generous side decks with welded SS rails make going forward an easy affair. Forward you'll find a space for a bow sunning pad, rail mounted fender racks, a bow pulpit with an Simpson-Lawrence electric capstan style anchor windlass for rope or chain, and foot controls as well as remote control at the bridge station, and a ‘dolphin nose' SS railing. On the aft flybridge coaming you'll find an 8-rod gold anodized rocket launcher for easy transport of a full compliment of rods for a day of anything from bottom fishing to trolling for big game.
There is a fiberglass swim platform with powder-coated ladder for those who dive or like to swim.
The flybridge is not just your typical Sportfish configuration with twin captains' seats at the helm and a full width bench for passengers forward of the helm station… add to this an additional bench seat forward across the bridge brow (aft of the reverse venture windscreen), creating a face to face lounging area, unique and unheard of on a 38'er. Helm and companion seats are hi-gloss teak ladder back versions with fresh upholstery and padding.
A sturdy polished SS 1/2 tower with a molded fiberglass hardtop and new isinglass enclosure protect you from the elements while on the bridge. Black Sunbrella covers for all forward cabin windows keep the sun out and the interior condition shows.
On the forward bridge exterior is a dual trumpet ship's horn and a SS 7" Rayline remote controlled spotlight. The helm features SS twin lever throttle and shift controls, hydraulic helm steering, VDO instrumentation for the engines, the two GPS units, fishfinder, autopilot, intercom, and VHF radio. Overhead on the hardtop is the radar unit.
Hull bottom is factory epoxy barrier coated and it has a blister free bottom.

Electronics

Updated electronics include a 10" Garmin 2010C GPS plotter with cartography, a second Garmin GPS Map 188 plotter with cartography and a recording depth sounder, Icom M120 VHF and a backup Standard Horizon Quest VHF (in salon), and a Raymarine ST7001+ autopilot. There is also a Raytheon R21 24 mile radar, bridge to salon intercom system, and a flush-mount compass to round out the comprehensive electronics package.
Mechanical

Powered by the highly desirable and normally bulletproof T/375HP 3208TA Cats with a low 1,250 original hours on the clocks (an average of only 84 hrs a year!), which are clean and well serviced (reportedly fairly good service records kept also). Soundproofing is above average and is found in both the engine room and the lazarette. Also includes: trim tabs, constavolt battery charger, dual 110V 30A shorepower service with 50' cords, Northern Lights 8KW genset, dual MarineAir air conditioning systems with reverse cycle heat, spare props, sea strainers, Racor fuel/water separator filters for both engines and genset.

A gelcoated fiberglass liner in the engine room makes for a clean look, keeps the flooring above any normal bilge water, and makes it easy to keep it all clean.
