The Formula 330 Sun Sport is an upscale day
cruiser, big on
cockpit space and quality workmanship. She's
built on a good running deep-V hull with a wide
beam and an integrated swim platform. With
seating for 8 the cockpit is definitely the star
attraction of the Sun Sport. Aside from the big
U-shaped lounge aft (which converts to a
massive sunpad), there's a double-wide seat at
the helm and settee opposite. The on-deck
galley makes a lot of sense on a boat like this,
and there are many cockpit storage areas
including storage for scuba tank racks, fender
storage and ski storage. The engine
compartment is reached via a motorized hatch
lift. Below decks the V-shaped dinette converts
into a double berth. There is also the very
important, surpisingly spacious enclosed head.
A good performer, twin Volvo 7.4L stern-drives
will cruise the 330 Sun Sport at 35 knots and top
out at around 52 knots.
