General Description

The drilling ship was designed by the Chernomorsksudoproekt Central Design
Bureau in the city of Nikolaev. Building of the ship was completed in 1998
at the Kherson shipyard. The drilling ship is designed for to 6500 m deep
well drilling at the sea depths up to 300 m in nonfreezing areas of the
Arctic seas and other regions. Re-equipment of the ship is planned so to
enable drilling operations at the sea depths up to 2000 m. Since 2000 until
2002 the vessel has been in a bare-boat charter. Today the vessel is for
sale.
