General Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This vessel was built by the Chesapeake Shipbuilding
Corporation of all welded steel construction. The
vessel is fitted with a main deck and (2) upper decks,
a raked bow and a transom stern. The wheelhouse is
located forward on the uppermost deck, hereafter
referred to as the (02) deck.

A general description of each deck is provided
hereafter:

Main Deck:
The vessel's superstructure extends to the port and
starboard gunwales, with no open decks provided.
The vessel has embarkation and debarkation doors in
way of the port and starboard sides, just forward of
amid ships. These are double doors and designed
watertight. The ship's galley, roughly 700 square feet,
is located forward in way of the forecastle, and the
after enclosed passenger area is comprised of roughly
3,028 square feet. This enclosed space includes
gaming area, cashier's cage, a full service bar,
sanitation spaces, etc. The decks are covered by
carpet and aluminum panels cover the deckheads.
Wood paneling and Formica cover the bulkheads.

Deck (01):
This deck is fully enclosed and comprised of roughly
3,100 square feet. There is an (18") open deck on
each side, and in way of the stern, and also a
forecastle deck. These open decks are restricted to
crewmembers only. The enclosed spaces are complete
with sanitation spaces, gaming areas, and a full
service bar. Interior finish is identical to the main
deck.

Deck (02):
This is the uppermost deck and consists of roughly
1,300 square feet enclosed space and 1,530 square
feet of open space. This space is used for passenger
lounging, slot machines, dining, etc. The after portion
of this deck is open on (3) sides, but covered by a
canvas awning. There is a bar, bandstand and tables
for passengers. The decks utilized by passengers are
covered by indoor-outdoor type carpet. Interior finish
is identical to the main deck.

All enclosed passenger areas are fully air conditioned,
and fitted with the following:

1. Tables and chairs in the public areas.
2. Full service bars.
3. Satellite television system.
4. Men and women's sanitation spaces on all (3)
decks.
5. (167) slot machines.
6. (2) Roulette tables.
7. (2) Crap tables.
8. (40) Blackjack tables.

HULL COMPARTMENTATION:
The hull, from the keel to the bulkhead deck (main
deck) is divided by (7) transverse steel bulkheads,
creating, from forward, the following internal
compartments:

1. Forepeak
2. Number (2) void compartment, which includes the
bow thruster tunnel
3. Number (3) void compartment, which includes the
sewerage tanks.
4. Number (4) compartment, which includes general
stores, water pumps, surveillance room and counting
room.
5. Fuel oil tanks.
6. Number (5) void compartment, which includes the
fresh water tanks.
7. Number (6), which is the engine compartment.
8. Lazarette, which includes the steering machinery.
