General Description

Cheoy Lee has been building boat for over 100 years and is the largest builder in Asia of production motor yachts. Over the years their designs have established a reputation for quality and strength. The Cheoy Lee 50 Trawler is another in the series of long-range yachts that Cheoy Lee used to build for the American market. This Tri-Cabin model features an aft cabin below an elevated main deck. The aft cabin floorplan comes as a surprise considering her sedan-style appearance. Reached from a stairway in the salon, this roomy stateroom comes with a centerline double berth, private head and a writing desk. The bridge overhangs the decks and cockpit. She is built for those seeking tradition over glitz, and the interior is finished with teak cabinetry and woodwork throughout.
The current owner has had her for 3 years. At the time of purchase she had a complete survey. All items appearing in the survey were corrected and the owner has since made many upgrades, including galley items and electronics. The vessel can now be stated to be in very good condition, although there are some water stains in the wheelhouse. New bottom paint and new exterior teak, July, 2001. A very desirable choice for anyone considering economical long range cruising in comfort. Realistically priced, but the seller will entertain reasonable offers.
