General Comments:

The Phoenix Rising has an excellent potential for being developed into a charter vessel for dinner cruises, cruises, a kayak mother ship, bike tours to the Islands, a multitude of possibilities. She is also an excellent live-a board. She is a sold, stable, steel boat in excellent condition with excellent deck area.


Accommodation:
Her accommodations include a large double forward v berth with head. The v berth includes a large hanging locker and ample storage. Aft is the luxurious owners quarters with a full queen-size berth with generous storage. The owners cabin is heated with a propane fireplace. Adjacent is a full head with separate shower stall. At the foot of the companionway leading to the owner’s quarters is a large hanging locker and additional storage. There is a large hatch above providing excellent natural lighting for this area.

Galley:
Fully outfitted galley with propane 3 burner Kenyon stove and oven; very large combination fridge and freezer, and double stainless steel sink. The Salon has comfortable wrap around bench seat in eating area with comfortable seating for 8. Full stereo sound system. The beautiful oak cabinets provide generous storage capacity and more than ample counter space.
Included is a large oak roll top desk and oak stereo/TV cabinet. There is additional hanging locker in the salon area.
Mechanical:
Twin 1984 fresh water cooled Ford Industrial Turbo Diesel power. Over $30,0000 spent on engine upgrades, including new injectors, rebuilding of the port engine, new rebuilt alternators, rebuilt fuel pumps, rebuilt turbos, rebuilt transmissions, new 2" stainless steel shafts and new four blade bronze propellers, over the past 5 years.

She has two steel fuel tanks totaling 450 gallon capacity. Combined, both engines burn 6 gallons per hour at cruising speed, giving her a range of approximately 1000 nautical miles. Her top speed is an incredible 20 knots.
Deck:
16X10 Teak deck forward and Rail Caps recently redone with Cetol. Newly painted Cockpit and Hardtop. Vessel comes with Anchor, Electric Windlass, Chain And Rode.
Electrical:
Ship's voltage is 12 Volts DC. Vessel has a 30 AMP 110/120 Volt system. There is a Heart Inverter 2,500 Watts. There is a new bank of deep cycle batteries and the 2 Pennys, one is new and one is 2 years old. There is a diesel 7.5 KW Onan generator.
Electronics and Navigation:
Vessel has 2 VHF, Depth Sounder, compass, horn and searchlight. Vessel is electrolysis protected with Bolt on Zincs.
The lower helm offers excellent visibility with a full set of engine gauges and controls. The helm area also offers clear passageways forward to the galley/salon and aft to the owners quarters. There is excellent storage provided, currently utilized for tools and engine parts and supplies.
The upper helm offers a commanding view. It has a large captain’s seat with excellent seating available for guests. Full engine controls are available.
The propane system is equipped with an auto shutoff solenoid connected to two propane fume detectors.


Other:
Last surveyed in 1998 and dry docked June 2002. The dry docking in June 2002 included sandblasting from the boot top to the keel. Following was applied a 3 part epoxy system with an expected life span of 13-15 years! This work was performed by Point Hope Shipyards, Victoria, BC at a cost of $6,000.
This vessel can be enjoyed and considered from many perspectives. She is an economical long range cruiser for your family and friends, a very comfortable and well equipped live a board, and she has the potential for all types of charters whether day, term, dinner, fish, whale watching, or kayak, to name a few.
