General Description

Absolutley immaculate, fresh water, fully loaded Irwin 43. Almost every option on this extremely comfortable and pristine yacht. Two completely private cabins at opposite ends of the boat, full Raytheon electronics new last season, 8kw Kohler generator, 2 12,000 BTU air conditioning units, Headsail & staysail on furling units and the list goes on! This boat is ready to sail anywhere and can with only 4'11" draft. A comfortable home for the weekend or a platform to see the world!


Accommodations
The private forward cabin has a v-berth with filler, a dressing seat, a hanging lockerand a adjoining head with seperate shower. Next aft, the main cabin has 6'2" headroom and is extensively custom finished in teak. There are louvered doors enclosing shelved cabinets on both sides of the salon. This spacious area includes a L-shaped settee to stbd and a straight settee to port. There is a drop leaf teak dining table, vertically adjustable, that allows easy seating and locker access. The salon is equipped with an automatic ice maker, a liquor/wine cabinet, and a TV shelf which is easily viewed from the settees and the adjoining step down galley. The boat is wired for TV and stereo. It has a cable TV hookup and a masthead antenna w/signal amplifier. The cabin has four brass swiel reading lights and four overhead fluorescent overhead fixtures.


Connecting the master stateroom to the main salon is a walk through which contains a large hanging locker, the navigation station and provides access to the engine compartment. Located at the nav station is the master VHF radio, a Panasonic AM/FM Cassette stereo with controls for the selection of stereo speaker zones throughout the boat.

Next aft is the master stateroom which contains a queen size double berth, built in drawers, cabinets and a hanging locker. In addtion is a vanity and mirror and a swivel dressing seat. Adjoining is a private head with a seperate shower and washing basin.

There are 16 opening ports and 6 hatches with screens. The main cabin also has 6 tempered glass fixed ports with mini blinds.



Galley
Stainless steel devided sink with single lever faucet and seperate spray nozzle. Pressure hot & cold water and a foot pump. Three burner propane stove w/thermostatically controlled oven, Adler Barbour Super Cold Machine refrigerator/freezer measuring approximately 7 cubic feet, Raritan automatic ice maker, Microwave oven. Numerous cabinets, shelves and spice racks.



Electronics
The helm is equipped with a custom molded fiberglass instrument pod containing an array of Raytheon ST60 data displays and a convenient Standard Horizon VHF remote operator for the master radio at the navigation station.Included are displays for wind speed and direction, boat speed and log, depth and a fixed mount Raytheon 398 GPS navigation data display. Readily accessible to the helm is the Raytheon SL72 Pathfinder radar display and ST7000 Control Unit for the Type 100/300 steering yoke mounted Linear Drive Autopilot.Located at the navigation station is the master VHF radio, a Panasonic AM/FM Cassette radio and the controls for the selection of stereo speaker zones located throughout the boat.Individual controls allow the volume to be adjusted in each location.



Electrical
8kw Kohler generator, 5 size M24 batteries (1 starting battery dedicated to the generator and four deep cycles are arranged in two banks and connected to a four position switch), two 30amp A/C circuits with a "Ship-Off-Shore" switch (each has a master breaker and power/polarity light), 70amp Newmar 3-stage smart charger with three bank capability.




Sails
Cutter rig with roller furling Genoa and staysail. Both sails are on Furlex furlers. The genoa has outboard fairlead tracks and an AMCO whisker pole is stored on the mast. The staysail is loose footed and self tending with a traveler.

Fully battened main with 2 position jiffy reefing and a Dutchman System, 4:1 vang, all controls are led to the center cockpit. The main sheet winch is a Barient 2 speed electric self tailing winch (all lines can be led to this winch). All standing rigging is grounded through the keel.



Deck & Hull
Deck:
A teak bow sprit with two rollers and a Maxwell horizontal anchor windlass facitlitates anchoring with a clutch driven all chain wheel or a separate all rode warping drum.An emergency hand wind option is available.The bow sprit is enclosed by a stainless steel pulpit. Ground tackle consists of a CQR anchor with 130' chain; a Danforth anchor with 23' of chain and 140'of nylon rode; and a Fortress anchor.In additon to international standard lighting, there are two sealed beam 12 vdc spreader lights and two rear deck lights on the stern mounted radar arch. The Radar, VHF and FM antenna are on the arch for ready access along with stereo speakers and a hot/cold freshwater shower hose.
The deck is enclosed with stanchions and double lifelines, including two side gates and a stern gate.A transom mounted folding ladder, with teak steps drops down for swimming or for boarding a dinghy.Manual davits are also stern mounted.

The center cockpit is equipped with stereo speakers and a volume control.It has a dodger, bimini and fully enclosed cockpit enclosure with removable side curtains and screens. Four side cuddies provide plenty of storage.The cockpit also features a folding teak table and teak drink holders attached to the steering pedestal. A 12 vdc outlet can provide power for a spot light or an overhead light for dining.

Hull:
A cast lead winged keel is bolted to a one-piece molded fiberglass hull and keel boss. The fuel and water tanks are integrally molded into hull below the sole of the main salon, keeping the wet weight low and providing a double hull advantage.The rudder is a semi-skeg molded fiberglass foam filled design with with a stainless steel core welded to a solid stainless post.All thru hulls below the waterline are bronze with seacocks having a stainless steel ball.
