General Description

Not with standing the comments form Ted Brewer himself, as the best of his hull designs, the Cape North 43 has to be the best centre cockpit on the market for a vessel of this size. With seating all round the perimeter of the cockpit allowing 4 people to lie down perhaps explains the size of this area . For this reason many CN43s have circumnavigated the word in comfort with cruising families and all 25 hulls built are still afloat today. The head room down below is exceptional and the interior lay out allows for privacy with 2 cabins fore and aft . An interior refit of the teak , mahogany and all linings replaced to a fresh white formica see the presentation very pleasing to the eye.
There are many different configurations of the CN43 . This particular well cared for vessel is an original sloop rig with a fully battened main. The accommodation is ample with 2 sea berths, the saloon table lowering to a double and the 2 double berths fore and aft see a total possible comfortable berthing of 8. A perfect number for the large cockpit and saloon table down below . The CN43s have excellent refrigeration being both 12v and engine driven with a total of 120litres available that is excellent for those long passages.

The big mechanical feature is that she is powered by a new 56hp Yanmar engine will see a cruise speed of 6.5 kts consuming 3 litres /hr . This totals to approximately 1000nm Range . Wow

The saloon and galley are nice open spaces and a well sized chart table faces forward to starboard. The aft cabin has separate access from the cockpit and allows for a large double berth that anyone contemplating living aboard would be very pleased with.
