General Description

This Roberts 52 Custom is an extended Roberts 44 offshore that has been completely refitted from the keel up.
The full refit of this vessel was completed in 2002 and as such her birth date can be stated as a 2002 launch. Full remodeling documentation is available in picture format.

The terrific presentation and inventory of this robust 52 see her now in a completed state ready for the new owner to reap the reward of hard work of the current owner.

The extension of this vessel is in the transom. A large lazerette has been added along with a usable sugar scoop that lends for ease of boarding and water sport activities. The Large lazerette is a volumous area that houses the noise insulated genset , dive compressor ,dive tanks and much more storage space for what ever you can think of. The Davits aft are an additional welcome that incorporates a push pit with aft seating. All in 316 Stainless steel . A fixed awning covers the aft elevated helm position and gives excellent visibility forward. A new autopilot , depth , speed and GPS position + track at the binnacle give all controls and navigational aids at your fingertips.

The rig is new 2002. The sail configuration is simple and with all sails including the main being furling. There is also a self tacking furling staysail fitted for goose wing trade winds sailing. The decks are rubber coated and the hull and head lining is fully insulated which adds to the effectiveness of the reverse cycle air-conditioning through out the interior.

The Machinery consists of a fully rebuilt Perkins 105 HP engine supplied by a massive 1200litres of diesel that give a cruising speed of 7 knots. The generator is a new Kubota 6kva unit that powers all the electrics on the vessel . A large 6 kva genset has been installed because this is a LPG free vessel. New batteries have recently been fitted with additional charging supplied by solar panels and a wind generator all managed by a computer monitored charging system. Lets just say that the batteries will always be charged.

The navigations systems are more than sufficient an include major items like Radar and GPS . The owner uses his personal laptop with C- Map that is interfaced with all navigation aids.

The master cabin is aft with ample hanging and draw space for clothes and boat inventory. This area is separate from the main saloon and galley . The galley is similar in size to a small apartments and a large saloon with a 17 inch flat screen TV and entertainment system make this a comfortable place to be.

An important feature of this vessel is that it is also a centre cockpit and this area would make a very comfortable safe place for young children while making passage. Forward is the large shower and head. Rather than fit 2 shower and heads to this vessel the owner has opted for one large comfortable bathroom space. Water capacity is 650 litres ,presurise hot and cold. Adjacent to this is more hanging and storage space. Forward is another cabin that will makes 2 singles.
