superior build quality, the Chris Craft Roamer
embraces those characteristics with an added dose of
old-world luxury and sturdy construction. This is a
unique yacht; there's no other express quite like the
40 Roamer on the market. Not inexpensive, she rides
on a deep-V hull with a relatively wide 14-foot beam.
Belowdecks, the Roamer can accommodate two
couples overnight in two staterooms, each with a
private head. The main cabin has a curved settee
across from a huge U-shaped galley, and twin beds in
the aft stateroom convert to a double. Throughout,
the Roamer's upscale interior is a sophisticated blend
of cherry cabinetry, top quality furnishings, and
decorator fabrics. Like most modern express boats,
the spacious cockpit is designed for comfortable
cruising. Lounge seating is provided for as many as
ten adults, and the extended swim platform can
accommodate a small dinghy. Twin Volvo IPS diesels
will cruise the Roamer 40 at 23 knots and reach a top
speed in the neighborhood of 31 knots.
