The unsinkable legend that is Boston Whaler continues
with the 305 Conquest, a heavily-built 30' express
designed for serious anglers with a yen for quality.
The 305 is a refinement of the popular 295 Conquest
('99-'03) with a larger cockpit, an updated interior,
and a redesigned helm and transom. The Conquest's
list of fishing features begins with plenty of rod
storage (under the gunwhales and inside the cabin)
and includes a 24-gallon transom livewell, cockpit
rigging station, two insulated in-deck fish boxes with
pump-out, and an enourmous hatch in the sole that
provides unprecedented access to the bilge. Visibility
from the 305's raised bridgedeck is excellent, and a
comfortable lounge seat across from the helm seats
two guests. Below, the Conquest sleeps four adults--
two in the forward V-berth and two more in the mid-
cabin double berth. Cherrywood cabinetry and faux
granite counters highlight the galley. Additional
features include a bow pulpit, wide sidedecks, and a
hideaway bench seat that pulls out from the transom.
This boat is loaded with electronics and optional
equipment. Twin 225-hp Mercury outboards will
deliver a cruising speed of 25 knots and top speed in
the neighborhood of 35 knots.
