General Description

The Carolina Classic 28 is a highly regarded fisherman with clean lines, a deep-V hull, and an efficient jackshaft drive system. This vessel has many redundant systems, amazing speed, a rugged durability, and has everything a serious fisherman demands. She is totally designed and precisely built for one purpose: Offshore trophy fishing; she's fast and dry. The Classic 28 has plenty of work area, storage, bait and fish boxes. Fishing conditions vary, so our vessel is offered with the twin engine, Volvo 300-hp diesel package (only 270-hours), with a long- range fuel capacity for all. Her engines will cruise the boat at 25-knots and reach a top speed of 30+ knots. The interior of the vessel has plenty of living room, a cabin with 6-feet of headroom, a big V-berth, full walk-in electric, standup head with a shower, a compact galley, air-conditioning and beautiful teak-framed cabinetry. The engines are very accessible, as the entire bridge deck can be raised on a pair of hydraulic rams, at the push of a button. Best of all is how easy she is to maintain. The bilge runs in a tunnel underneath the gel-coated engine room, so vital mechanics stay dry and clean. The air intakes are high above the sheer to keep corrosive salt spray out, and her cabin walls are finished gel, so they can be easily cleaned and kept free of mildew. The cockpit (10' 6" beam) has plenty of room for a mounted chair, and includes a pair of in-deck fish boxes, rod holders, a transom live well, tackle center with sink, and fresh and salt water washdowns. Additional features include side-dumping exhausts, wide side-decks, high freeboard, and a well-arranged helm with room for flush-mounted electronics.
