General Description

A two-stateroom cruising yacht with big open, teak finished salon, and large flybridge the 42 Classic has the room and style that sells 1500 boats. As you enter the salon from the port side you the blue ultra-suede settee with teak drop leaf table is in front of you. It begins at the aft stateroom door and wraps around to fill the starboard side of the salon. Big windows with custom curtains begin at the same spot a go all the way around the salon. To your immediate right is blue ultra-suede barrel chair and behind it built-in cabinetry. To you left is the large L-shaped galley with Grunert Cold Plate refrigerator and freezer, microwave, two-burner stove with broiler, and stainless steel sink. Across from the galley is the lower helm with full instrumentation. Behind the helm is starboard door and teak cabinetry. Between the galley and the helm is access to the forward stateroom that features a comfortable v-berth with under-berth storage, a hanging locker and an enclosed head with shower. At rear of the salon between the settee and barrel chair is the entrance to the master stateroom that features the very attractive two-berth arrangement. There is a queen berth (Tempurpedic)to starboard. Full (Tempurpedic) berth to port. The space between is occupied by writing desk. There is also matching armchair and stool upholstered in the blue ultra-suede. Hanging lockers and under-berth storage provide space for clothing and gear. The enclosed head has separate shower stall.

As nice as the salon is, people don't buy boats to just sit inside. Up on the flybridge we find the helm under a bimini with full Statraglass enclosure. The helm is starboard with State-of-the-Art Navigation Suite: Northstar 962 DGPS with 11" Chartplotter, Maptech Chart Software, Furuno 1920C Radar with Open Array, Robertson AP30X Autopilot, Ritchie Compasses, Robertson Depth sounder, Raymarine 90 VHF, Raymarine Loud Hailer, Robertson Digital Speed, Furuno VX2 NavNet GPS. There is a captain's chair at the helm and companion chair to port. There is lounge seating aft with an L-shaped settee to starboard and a straight settee to port. Four steps down is the aft deck with dinghy to starboard. Three steps down is the teak main deck with varnished teak rails. Wide side decks give easy access to the foredeck and cockpit, and teak swim platform.New 2007 Furuno networked GPS and Open Array Radar (2007). Fully enclosed fly-bridge vs. bimini top. Master Stateroom

The aft stateroom features two berths: Tempurpedic mattresses on queen berth to starboard and a full berth to port with a full sized desk between. There is also a chair and stool each upholstered in blue ultra-suede. There are hanging lockers and under-berth storage. The enclosed head includes separate shower stall.
