General Description

Synopsis

The Glacier Bay 2670 Island Runner is a great quality walkaround catamaran with a large fishing cockpit and comfortable cabin accommodations. She rides on semi-displacement hulls that were retooled in 1999 with a finer entry and wider chines. When it comes to fishing boats, the advantages of catamarans are well known: a better ride in poor sea conditions, reduced power requirements (due to the more efficient hulls), increased range, improved stability and more casting space at the bow. The Island Runner's cabin is slightly off-center to port which puts the cabin over one of the hulls, thereby increasing the headroom below. Standard fishing features include an oval livewell under the helm seat, two in deck fish boxes, coaming bolsters, tackle center and rod storage. In the cabin a queen size berth is over the tunnel and a spacious head compartment is located in the port hull.
