General Description

The 2788 Seamaster W/A is a perfect South Florida boat. With its two Yamaha 200HP four stroke engines (new in 2001) it will get you to that perfect fishing spot in a hurry and use very little gas doing it. This boat is designed to go offshore in comfort and is set up for fishing with its ten rod holders, Lee outriggers, and bait and fish boxes. It has a massive cockpit with the ability to walk around the cuddy cabin, which is great when you hook the big one. This boat is trailerable (no trailer) which would make it a great keys boat. The 2788 Seamaster has a very roomy cabin with a v-berth, two side berths, head and shower and a mini galley.

Interior
The Seamaster 2788 has a very roomy cabin for its size. As you enter the cabin to the starboard is a quarter berth . Forward of the single berth is the head. The head has a toilet, shower (sit down) and a vanity sink and a mirror. Forward of the head is the v-berth. There are four portholes and a hatch which provides plenty of natural lighting. On the port side is a mini-galley which has a Norcold refrigerator, an electric Origo 2500 E single burner stove with a plexiglass cover. Next to the stove there is a stainless steel sink. Aft of the mini-galley there is another quarter berth. The 27' Seamaster's cabin allows you can sleep 4 adults, and provides a head and a mini-galley.

Exterior
The Seamaster 2788 has a deep-vee hull and draws less then 3' of water with the engines down. Each Seamaster is built with Amorflex gelcoat for extra flexibility and resistance to cracking and crazing. This Seamaster has a combination engine bracket and swim platform with a fold down metal swim ladder. The current owner has installed a custom made top for the boat. The top extends forward of the front windshield and well into the cockpit area. This provides constant shade to the helm regardless of the direction of the boat. Mounted to this top are the Lee 16'outriggers, four rod holders and cockpit lights. Also mounted to this custom top in the helm area is an electronics box which contain the Jensen AM/FM CD stereo, the Standard VHF Radio and the Garmin 210 GPS Chartplotter. The cockpit is very large and contains built in rod holders under the gunwales on both the port and starboard sides. The transom contains a large center storage box and two live wells, one to each side of center storage box. There are three storage lockers below the coaming pad in the transom area. Going forward from the transom there are two storage boxes in the deck and forward and under the gunwales are two large fish boxes. As you take one step up toward the helm there are three additional storage boxes and with one additional step you are on the helm. In the center of the helm between the two captains chairs is one additional storage area. The helm area is enclosed with the top and eisenglass forward and on both sides. Great for protecting the helm and to keep you dry during our summer thunder storms. Forward of the helm is a built in seat and a bow pulpit.

Electronics
The Seamaster has a very good electronics package. It includes a Garmin 210 GPS chartplotter, a Standard Intrepid VHF radio, a Jensen AM/FM/CD stereo, a Lowarance X88 depth/fish finder and a Ritchie 3" compass. When the new Yamaha 200 HP engines were installed in 2001 there were new Yamaha gauges installed, which provides information on speed, distance and hours.

Mechanical
This Seamaster has two Yamaha 200 HP four stoke engines that were installed new in 2001. They currently have 165 hours on them. Of course four stroke engines give this boat a very quite ride, outstanding fuel economy and unmatched dependability.

Comments
The Seamaster 2788 is the perfect boat for South Florida. It provides plenty of power, fuel economy and comfort that is unmatched in a 27' boat. If you are an avid fisherman and/or a family that enjoys cruising the intracoastal, this is a must see boat.
