A handsome boat with a semi-custom appearance, the
Pursuit 3000 Offshore has been one of the preeminant
offshore fishing boats in her class since her
introduction in 1995. She's built on a smooth-
running modified-V hull with a relatively wide beam, a
substantial 19 degrees of transom deadrise, and a
well-flared bow. The cockpit, about 60 square feet in
size, comes with a full array of topnotch fishing
amenities including a transom door, a centerline bait
station (with an above-deck live well), two cushioned
storage boxes, and a big transom fish box. Note that
the helm is located on the centerline--a design that
opens up the interior by moving the companionway to
starboard--and the entire bridgedeck can be
hydraulically raised for engine access. There are
berths for four below in the spacious cabin--two pilot
berths to starboard and a double berth forward--as
well as a roomy head, a backlit rod storage showcase,
and a complete galley. An impressive, well-
engineered boat with a price to match, twin 260-hp
Volvo diesels will cruise at 23 knots and top out at
about 30 knots.
