General Description

The Sovereign 54 is a large, comfortable twin helmed cutter rigged yacht with style and performance.
The Sovereign 54 is perfect for avid divers that want a yacht with a terrific turn of speed. The dive compressor and open transom is the feature that makes this a perfect sail / dive vessel with open ocean cruiser racer capabilities. She has won her class racing from Mauritius to Durban in 1987 then in 1993 Darwin to Bali .

Built in South Africa to meet the most demanding conditions, this is a yacht that can handle long distance cruising with ease and pace. Three large double cabins provide ample accommodation with two additional single designated berths for crew or guests. The interior finish is of a high standard with a new teak holly sole laid in 2005. The galley is large with all amenities necessary to prepare a banquet and massive head room throughout the galley and in fact the whole interior of the vessel. South Africans tend to be tall people and designed the 54 with this in mind. The saloon is also full beam and a wonderful volumous area for entertaining or relaxing with plenty of space.

This vessel has extensively cruised South Africa , Asia , Indonesia ,New Caledonia and New Zealand in absolute comfort and reliability.
