Accommodations
This is by far the finest example to date of this very popular cruising design produced by Catalina Yachts. She is exquisitely clean in every facet of the word and will leave a lasting impression as a vessel that has been fastidiously maintained by her proud owners. The Catalina 34 offers a terrific cruising layout that features two private cabins, a very comfortable salon, working nav-station and a fully equipped galley. Our Time has been generously equipped to ensure complete comfort and autonomy while cruising. Currently in the water, she is in complete sail away condition. The private forward cabin offers a large v-berth, ample storage in two banks of drawers (port & starboard) and plenty of light and ventilation. There is a large “star gazer" overhead hatch along with two opening ports, which are located just above each bank of drawers (see photos). On either side of the cabin at the head of the v-berth are 12v lights that are ideally located for pre-slumber reading. The salon offers a single settee to port with storage along the back and a u-shaped settee to starboard that provides comfortable seating around the dinette. The storage along both settees is a combination of open shelves; each sandwiched between enclosed shelves that are faced with sliding enclosures. This is a nice combination that provides a workable mix between décor and functionality. Located just aft of the port settee, the nav-station faces aft and utilizes the settee as its seat. The nav-station includes a chart table with desk storage beneath. The nav-station is equipped with chart light, VHF radio, battery usage/charging monitor & stereo w/C.D.changer. The electrical panel is conveniently located off the right elbow with all switches appropriately labeled and within easy reach. The head is to port just aft of the nav-station. The layout and size of this crucial space is indeed impressive as there is generous room to stand and move about freely; no pent up yearning for that comfort you had left at home. Rounding out this highly impressive layout is the completely private aft cabin, located astern of the galley to starboard. The aft cabin is configured for athwartship bunking with all toes pointing to port. This configuration offers several noteworthy advantages to the typical “stuffed cannon" arrangement. With ample headroom (a result of one less cockpit locker), there is plenty of room to sit up and read in absolute comfort. The cabin is absolved of dreaded “cave dweller" syndrome and to the contrary is bright and airy (thanks to two opening ports and a third fixed port for additional light). In addition to ambient light, there are two 12v lights along with a 12v electric fan for additional circulation. The end result is a cabin that is not just for sleeping but rather an additional place to retire for quiet, unimpeded privacy. Indeed, this is one very comfortable boat.

The galley is located opposite the nav-station to starboard. The layout is very practical with sink, prep space, stove and storage laid out to maximize efficiency.
