Right from her introduction in 1999 the Outremer 45 was a success when an unmodified production version won its class at the 2000 edition of the classic-singlehanded Transatlantic race (formerly known as the OSTAR) This is even more commendable as this Gerard Danson design is conceived as a pure cruising boat, which boasts liveaboard space for long term voyaging. As with all of the Outremer range of catamarans, the 45’ comes equipped with a long list of standard cruising equipment and the interior can be fully customized to suit the owners requirements. She is responsive on all points sail and her very narrow, arrow shaped hulls cut through the waves with minimum resistance. In addition, the high forward freeboard and good bridgedeck clearance, make for a seaworthy and safe boat offshore. The Outremer trademark sheerline and coachroof, give the 45’ a purposeful look.
