General Description

The Beetle Company began building these charming catboats in 1921. In 1946 the Concordia Company purchased the mold from John Beetle and continued to build the boats. Since John Beetlee built the first one in 1921, more than 3,000 have been launched. The Beetle Cat is the foundation of the first year apprenticeship program at IYRS. Once completed the boats are ready to sail away after having been completely rebuilt. Each boat comes with a brand new mainsail.
