1969 REFURBISHED IN 2002 - All Bertram lovers will appreciate the complete re-fit of this classis 25 Moppie. As the pictures will tell, the owner spent countless hours bringing this Bertram back to life â�� and then some! The original design came with inboards, however the owner preferred the lower maintenance afforded by outboards, so the deck was broken down and re-glassed with extra long stringer that were added to the existing stringers to create a solid deck sole â�� can't find a spot to bounce on in this cockpit. He added Yamaha 250 HP outboards on a custom installed bracket. Her many upgrades and features make her an excellent Bimini runner and the wide beam serves as an excellent fishing, diving or cruising platform. She is truly turn-key. The complete re-fab in 2002 of this 25 Moppie shows in every detail on this boat. The owner built this boat to suit himself, a true Bimini fisherman, and what resulted was a well-thought out design that sports a strengthened deck sole, new electronics, new stainless steel dual fuel tanks (epoxy coated for extra protection), new pressurized 30 gallon fresh water system with shower, new electrical wiring, new steering cables and controls, dual 2000gph and dual 300gph automatic bilge pumps, new hydraulic-electric trim tabs, 4 batteries â�� with shorepower battery charger, in-deck 86 livewell with see-thru porthole and dual in/out pumps, stainless steel bracket holding the twin 250 Yamaha outboards with stainless steel props, Awlgrip painted TWICE, bottom painted with blue Trinidad, transom access to the dual Racor fuel filters/water separator and electrical wiring. The lighting is also exceptional throughout the cockpit with spreader lights on the custom tower which also comes with a 4-sided isinglass enclosure. A total of 6 rod holders (4 on tower, 2 flush-mounted on the gunnels) provide good rod storage. The center console was custom-made for this boat which sports a forward cooler seat and has an overhead electronics box and excellent visibility from the captain's chair at any angle. A bow pulpit allows easy handling of the anchor with chain.
