Utilizing the Viking 48 Convertible's hull and deckhouse, the Viking 48 MY combines surprisingly brisk performance with an enclosed-afterdeck interior whose combined accomodations are those of a much larger boat. Built on a modified-V hull with a shallow keel and cored hull sides. Her standard three-stateroom interior is arranged with walkaround double berths in the fore and aft staterooms and single beds in the guest cabin. There's a full bathtub in the aft head compartment, and the salon--which is open to the galley and dinette--seems especially roomy for a boat this size. The enclosed afterdeck, complete with wing doors and a wet bar, is configured as a second salon over the master stateroom which quickly becomes the focal center of the boat. Topside, the flybridge (also borrowed from the 48 Convertible) will seat up to eight.
