General Description

Few forty footers have the room and style of the Sea Ray 400 Sedan Bridge. The bridge is spacious and the interior expansive. The 400 Sedan Bridge is a two-stateroom layout with a big, open, salon with galley down.

You step aboard to a large cockpit with a transom door to the extended swim platform, sliding doors leading to the salon, molded steps to the side decks and forward to the sun pad on the foredeck, or the molded stairway to the bridge. The stairway leads up to a carpeted bridge with forward helm station with centerline captain's chair with companion chairs to either side. The fully equipped helm has Raytheon 41XX radar, SL530 color chart plotter, 650 autopilot, 220 VHF/hailer, and tridata display. There's also Furuno LCD LS6000 sounder, Ritchie Compass, and Clarion stereo control. The aft area of the bridge features a U-shaped lounge with table. Weather protection is provided by the bimini with full Strataglas enclosure. There is room to entertain and enjoy the day on the water. Below, the cockpit is made for enjoying water sports. Fishermen, swimmers, divers, and jet skiers can benefit from the large cockpit and extended swim platform. For those who would rather relax there is a large sun pad on the bow.

From the cockpit, sliding doors lead to the salon. As we enter we find settees to either side. Portside is beige leather settee that converts to a double berth. On the starboard side is a second leather settee with overhead entertainment center with flat screen LCD TV with DVD player. The salon is carpeted with Sunbrella runners. The beige in the leather and carpeting contrasts with cherry paneling and trim. It's a wonderful place to relax after a day in the sea air and sunshine. Forward, portside, is the large booth style dinette with the galley down to starboard. The galley appliances include a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, three-burner stove, microwave oven, built-in coffee maker, and built-in blender. It also features Corian countertops, rubberized floor, and plenty of cabinet, drawer, and shelf space including a food pantry. This is a full service galley.

The guest stateroom has twin berths with dividing nightstand, settee, and cedar-lined hanging locker. The guest head is a full head with vanity and shower stall. Forward is the master stateroom with queen berth with mirrored bulkhead and under-berth storage. There are two cedar-lined hanging lockers. The master head is ensuite with vacu-flush head, vanity, and shower stall.

Chase'n Stars is powered by twin Caterpiller 350hp diesel engines that allow a cruising speed of 26 knots. Additional features include a Westerbeke generator, Cruiseair reverse cycle HAC units, central Vac. and a 9' Caribe hard bottom dinghy with 7 hp Evinrude outboard.
