General Description

The Hatteras 43 Convertible is a two-stateroom flybridge convertible. This convertible features an enclosed bridge, big cockpit, open salon, two staterooms, and two head compartments with showers.

The flybridge seats 10 in comfort on new seating. The helm is aft with guest seating to one side and forward. The bridge is fully enclosed with new blue canvas and Eisenglass. The electronics include a Garmin color chart plotter, Magellan hand-held GPS, Raymarine digital depth finder, Raymarine 24-mile color radar, Benmar autopilot, and Standard Horizon VHF radio. Below, the large cockpit is equipped with a bait prep station with tackle storage and freezer, large livewell, outriggers, transom door, rod holders, and washdown.

Sliding doors from the cockpit give us access to a big, open, and airy salon with teak woodwork. It is furnished with sofa, chair and teak cabinetry. The galley is up, port side. It is equipped with 3-burner Princess stove with oven, Norcold refrigerator/freezer, microwave, ice maker, and stainless steel sink. Forward and down are two staterooms. The master stateroom is forward with centerline queen berth, hanging locker, drawer storage, and large ensuite head compartment with vanity and shower stall. The guest stateroom is amidships with perpendicular upper and lower bunks. The guest head compartment is across the companionway with head, vanity, and shower stall. This Hatteras has the "crew quarters" which a forward cabin accessed through a deck hatch. It makes a very usable storage area.

Altered Attitude is powered by twin 465-hp Detroit Diesels with only 1000 hours of use since a major overhaul. They provide a cruising speed of 18 knots with a top speed of 23 knots. Additional features include Glendale engine synchronizer, 8kW Onan generator, and two Cruiseair AC units. Altered Attitude has had the same owner since 1986 and he is retiring from boating.
