General Description

This 45 Whitby Sloop was designed by Cuthbentson & Cassian and is a proven offshore racer/cruiser with sleek, beautiful, lines. Rebuilt in 1998 she has many new and updated features.

Sonny is a well-built, solid, boat that needs some TLC below. Big enough to be a live-aboard or a cruiser, she has two staterooms, a single head compartment, and sleeping accommodations for six. The teak finished interior with teak & holly sole provides a warm and inviting living area. The galley is aft, port side, and is equipped with Princess stove with oven, microwave oven, refrigerator/freezer, and stainless steel sink with pressurized water. The two staterooms feature double berths and personal storage. The salon will sleep two additional guests.

On deck we have a large aft cockpit with new bimini top and side curtains. The sails are in excellent condition and the mast is new. There are three anchors, bow pulpit with windlass, nine 15" winches, and a new Pro Furl roller furling. At the stern are dinghy davits with an Alliance dinghy with 15hp 4-stroke Mercury outboard. The auxiliary power is provided by a new Westerbeke 50hp diesel engine that gives a 7 knots cruise speed. A 2.5kW Honda generator provides offshore electrical power. Instrumentation includes: Danforth compass, Standard VHF radio, Garmin 128 GPS, Raytheon Radar, and Robertson autopilot.
