General Description

2002 SEA HAWK 360 Open Express Fisherman, An exceptional charter fishing boat or dive boat. The most remarkable feature of this craft, other than the fact that it is a 36 foot boat with an extra wide 14' beam, is it's dynamic new hull design. It begins with a sharp 30 degree deadrise entry at the bow that tapers to a flat 4 degree at the transom. The bow is very deep and heavily flared and there are double extra wide lifting chines with built-in spray rails that run from bow to stern. This sharp and radically deep bow section allows the boat to slice through the waves while on plane rather than skipping and bouncing over them, while the flat stern section and wide 14 foot beam (from amidship all the way to the transom) make for a very stable and roll free platform while the boat is at rest. In addition to making a remarkably quick and stable boat, this unique hull design allows for a very low shaft angle back to the prop. This low shaft angle translates into more power, better performance, better balance and more economical operation through the entire RPM range. In addition, there is a step in the outer chine that helps to break the drag and suction of the water on the hull which equates to quicker throttle response and faster planing, while still keeping the critical clean water flowing through to the prop.
