General Description

2001 B & B. Commercial Trawler 100,For immediate information call 954-646-7131Built in 2001 by B & B boat builders as a custom shrimp trawler, she is powered by a 3508B Caterpillar diesel. The engine is rated at 1085 hp and has Twin Disc model 5202 reduction gear with 6:1 gear ratio and a (4) blade prop in Kortz nozzle. She has two New Age 102.7 hp 65 kw, 120/208 VAC, 3 phase, 65hz generators. On deck are two McElroy winches (model 505-36-HBD-Trawling winch and model 401E S/S try net winch). She has a 3500 cubic foot freezer/hold and a refrigerated Brine tank. Fuel capacity is 30,000 gallons, water capacity is 10,000 gallons. She also has two Devilbiss 150 PSI air compressors.Current ConditionThe pilot house and crew cabins have been totally gutted by fire. The rest of the hull and deck has very little damage . only blistered paint. Approximately two thirds of the engine room in the upper section sustained heat and fire damage. The wiring is un-usable and must be replaced. The main engine and gear still have paint on them and will be sold in running condition. Both generators are running. All four compressors are running. The refrigeration systems appear to be complete and should be functional without too much effort or expense. The hull looks to be in excellent condition with very little surface rust. All structural steel components also appear to be in excellent condition. The fuel, water, and day tanks look good but should be cleaned. All fuel lines, pumps, hoses, and filters look o.k. and serviceable. Filter service and general service is recommended.The choices are numerous for converting this ex-shrimper into whatever your requirements are i.e. a treasure hunter, an Island freighter, a commercial fishing project, an expedition yacht, or even let you imagination wonder to the latest talk of the yachting community a shadow boat.We realize that there are several similar shrimp boats on the market, however, this one with the larger 3508 CAT engine is more desireable for other commercial applications. This hull, due to the fact that it is only 5 years old, and is in excellent condition, makes her a perfect platform to start a new project without having to pay the cost of buying a completely outfitted shrimp boat.If commercial fishing is not an option for you, the fishing equipment i.e. winches, freezers, compressors, etc. are very marketable.Oliver JonesMid River Marine
