General Description

The robustness of a well-built steel cruising yacht cannot be mistaken and this steel cutter rigged cruising sloop is an example of one of them. Built in New Zealand by Stuart Hearn for rugged conditions that require a vessel to be suitable for all areas of operation.

The deep centre cockpit is a great place to stay out of the weather and the hard top and clear roll up sides create comfort in all conditions.

Slightly cambered flat decks make moving around and actually using deck space for what ever application a very good feature of this yacht. From the bow a massive articulating pulpit allows to remove overhang and reduce the LOA for sensitive marinas. Furling head sails, large chain locker, ground tackle and windlass is fitted that is suitable for a vessel twice the size. Large opening ports forward give good flow through ventilation. The aft deck is also flat an usable with boarding aft by a sturdy transom ladder.

The accommodation is very private with a large aft cabin accessed by the centre cock pit companionway. The engine room is also accessed from this cabin and the space also allows for easy maintenance and checks on the John Deere 115 HP engine. The range under motor at 7 kts is stated as being a 1700NM.

Entering forward from the cockpit is the nav station and 2 berths to port and starboard. Stepping down to the living area of the vessel is the longitudinal galley that a small apartment would be proud of and a charming saloon with polished solid timber table. The head and shower area is comfortable and clean. Moving forward is the double V berth with twin singles above.
